Using Video in New-Patient Marketing

One of the key points I make to improve treatment presentations is that people remember much more of what they see than what they hear. When using visual tools to educate your patients about the value of treatment at your practice, one of the most effective is a well-designed video presentation.

Some practices utilize generic, vendor-provided videos for this purpose, and my concern with this approach is that these reinforce a perception that the value of treatment rests with the appliances, not the expertise of those providing treatment. A much better approach is to invest in a professionally done, in-house video that focuses on the experience of treatment at your practice.

This product should be a people-focused snapshot of the experience of treatment with you and your staff, and should be heavily skewed towards showcasing the experience and results provided your patients. That said, the most effective use of this medium is interviews with patients who have completed treatment at your practice.
